Wiegand Ranch is completely inside city limits, but does not have city streets
 because of problems with politicians in Caldwell County.  Wiegand Ranch is
bounded by a gravel road named Thayer Road for the grandparents of Frederick
Wiegand Jr., but the city of Lockhart refuses to accept that street name although
Thayer Road is termed by the city of Lockhart as a "private driveway", and the city
 of Lockhart has Cunningham Drive running in four opposite compass directions,
like their city politics.  County Road 220 is presently the South boundary of
Wiegand Ranch, and Frederick Wiegand is in legal problems with
Caldwell County for their refusal to follow Section 250 of the
Texas Transportation Code to repair and maintain CR 220
and the two concrete bridges across Clearfork Creek.  
The buyer of Wiegand Ranch will have to solve these problems,
and that is one reason the sales prices is below market value now.

Wiegand Ranch is entirely inside the city limits of Lockhart, county of Caldwell, state of Texas.
However,  Fred and Carl Wiegand and others in the Wiegand family cirlce are in a legal dispute with the city and the county over the city and county roads, including County Road 220, an abandoned public road shown by many deeds to run from US Highway 183 across the Navene Wiegand Estate Ranch behind the Lockhart State Park to Farm to Market FM Road 220.

Caldwell County officials are wrongfully trying to use  criminal laws to settle a civil lawsuit over County Road 220.
